Travogen contains a substance that treats fungal infections (isoconazol nitrate). It belongs to the group of broad spectrum anti-fungal agents. Travogen is suitable for the treatment of Fungal infections of the skin such as tinea, Ringworm, athlete’s foot, Superficial fungal infections of the hairless skin, e.g. in the spaces between the toes and the fingers, in the groin, and in the genital areas, Vaginal candidiasis & Dermatomycoses.
Indications
fungal infection of the skin, e.g. in the region of the hands, the interdigital spaces of the feet, and in the inguinal and genital regions.
Dosage and Administration
Cutaneous use. Travogen should be applied once daily to the effected areas of skin. A general rule for fungal infections is that topical therapy be continued for a period of 2 to 3 weeks, and for 4 weeks in refractory infections ( Particularly infections of the interdigital spaces ). Longer period of treatment are also possible. To avoid recurrence, treatment should be continued for at least another 2 weeks after clinical healing.
Always wash your hands before and after applying Travogen. Regular hygienic measures are essential for successful Travogen treatment
Interaction with other medicines
No interactions studies have been performed.
Use in children and adolescents
There is no need to adjust the dose when children aged 2 years or older and adolescents are treated with Travogen.
Only limited data on the safety of Travogen in children aged below 2 years are available.
If you use more Travogent than you should
If you apply too much Travogen once, or accidentally swallow Travogen this is unlikely to be dangerous but contact your doctor or pharmacist if you are worried.
If you forget to use Travogen
Do not use a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. When you remember, use the next dose and continue with the treatment as prescribed. See your doctor or pharmacist, if you are worried.
